Hi friends!
I’m Chandler, your current Miss Auburn, and I’m on a mission to change the way the world sees schizophrenia.
This summer, I’m hosting a special event focused on shattering the stigma around schizophrenia through education, empowerment, and community connection. This cause is deeply personal to me. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age, and for a long time, I felt like I had to hide that part of myself. But everything changed when I decided to step into the pageant world.
After watching Abbie Stockard be crowned Miss America, I felt inspired to rewrite my story. I signed up for Miss Auburn just a few weeks later, worked tirelessly, and to my surprise, I was crowned! Now I’m preparing to compete for Miss Washington in July, using my platform to raise awareness about schizophrenia and bring mental health conversations to center stage.
This event is one of the most important pieces of my journey. I’ll be sharing my story, bringing in powerful voices from the community, and creating a space where we can all learn more about schizophrenia with compassion, curiosity, and hope.
Your support will help fund:
- Materials for the event
- Awareness and educational resources
- Refreshments and accessibility resources to make this inclusive for all
Thank you for believing in this mission and for helping me make a real impact. Together, we can break the stigma and build a more understanding world.
With love and gratitude,
Chandler Groce
