My grandmother—one of the kindest, most selfless people you could ever meet—was recently the victim of a highly sophisticated scam. Using AI and deepfake technology, the scammers impersonated law enforcement and convinced her that her life was in danger, pressuring and threatening her until she felt she had no choice but to give them every single dollar she had saved.
This is someone who has spent her entire life giving—helping others without hesitation, offering warmth, compassion, and kindness to everyone she meets. She has never asked for anything in return… until now.
We’re coming together to try to restore even a small part of what she lost and to remind her that the same generosity she’s shown the world can come back to her in her time of need.
