Hi everyone,
My name’s Phillip, and this is my van, Topo — a 2014 Ram Promaster 2500 EcoDiesel that’s been my home, my work vehicle, and my escape for the past year.
In late 2023, I bought Topo and spent over six months gutting and rebuilding it by hand — turning an empty cargo van into a tiny home on wheels. Every cabinet, wire, and panel was built with the dream of traveling across North America with my dog, Jinx.
In August 2024, we hit the road full-time. From the red rock deserts of Utah to the granite walls of Squamish, the warmth of Texas, the music of Tennessee, and all the way through Quebec City, Toronto, Michigan, and back to Utah — it’s been the greatest adventure of my life.
Unfortunately, a few months ago, that journey came to a sudden stop.
Topo’s engine failed without warning. After multiple diagnostics, the only solution is a full engine replacement, estimated $33,000 plus some additional parts I’ve already purchased.
The repair process has already stretched over three months, and the cost is almost equal to every dollar I have — leaving me completely drained and without a way to move forward.
This van isn’t just transportation — it’s my home, my workshop, and how I stay connected to the places and people that make life meaningful. Without it, I’ve lost my independence, my ability to work, and the small world Jinx and I built together.
I’m not great at asking for help, but I’ve reached the point where I need to.
Every donation — big or small — will go directly toward getting Topo’s new engine installed and helping me get back on the road and back to work.
If you can’t contribute financially, sharing this campaign would mean the world to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping me keep the dream alive.
With gratitude,
Phillip & Jinx
