Staff members from the Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York, Inc. (LASMNY) have formed a committee to design a table that will be auctioned off at this year’s Come to the Table event to benefit Empowered Pathways!

The event is Friday, May 10 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Hart’s Hill Inn, 135 Clinton St, Whitesboro.

Empowered Pathways is a union of The Peacemaker Program and the Women’s Employment & Resource Center (WERC). Staff and volunteers provide services including dispute resolution for individuals and families, personalized training to help women achieve their employment goals, school-based services, and their Surrogate Decision-Making Committee program (additional details are provided here Home | Empoweredpathwayscny).

Come to the Table is Empowered Pathways’ signature, annual fundraiser. At this event, Table Designers from local organizations create and donate original and spectacular Table Designs following their chosen theme. These designs are then auctioned off at the event to raise funds for Empowered Pathways' programs. Each participating businesses and/or organization chooses a unique ‘theme’ for their table and design accordingly. LASMNY's table design theme for this year's Come to the Table event is Girls’ Night In, which embodies an eclectic atmosphere of casual but chic coffee shop reminiscent of the cafe Central Perk as featured in the Friends television show.

To gain maximum exposure and impact for the table design, our Table Design committee is relying on generous donations from various donors including community minded individuals just like you! Our committee members have been purchasing items on their own to enhance the table and make it a most memorable and favorable table design that stands out from the rest of the table designs participating in the event. It's a friendly competition among several, local business partners within our community and it's all to benefit Empowered Pathways!

Some donors generously donate goods or services directly, while others choose to make a monetary contribution. No matter what the donation, all donors will receive recognition at the event.

How do you participate? Easy! There are three options:

1) The first way is to donate to the table design team through this page. Or, you can donate funds directly to a committee member of the table design committee however you prefer (PayPal, Venmo, etc.).

2) The second way is to purchase an item from the table design committee's Amazon wish list. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/H41L6JZFH0ZY?ref_=wl_share The list includes items that to the table’s design theme.

3) The third way is to participate in any of the fundraising events is a Paint & Sip class & Anime & Cartoon Instructed class that will be held Saturday, April 6 at 2 pm at In Bloom Yoga, 34 Genesee St., New Hartford, to raise additional funds for the table design to benefit Empowered Pathways.

If you are interested in donating to the table design committee or if you have more questions regarding the event, please contact any member of the table committee. The members of the committee include Donna Jackson, Elizabeth Boswell, Johanna Bortnick, Mason McMahon, and Tara Capponi. For ticket information and/or further details about the Come to the Table event, visit Come to the Table 2024 | Empoweredpathwayscny.

Thank you for your generosity & support!
