Fund Verified by the Sidra Project.
Background
Sobhe has spent the last 2.5 years (as of this writing) living through an unprecedented genocide. The actions against the population in Gaza have included systemic starvation, advanced and aggressive bombing, attacks on the supply of water, medicine, sewer systems, hospitals, schools, etc. Throughout this time, Sobhe has worked very hard to provide entertaining social media content as he requests help for his family. But he should not have to.
The scarcity of food and necessities has made everything very expensive, and Sobhe is part of a ten-person family. The cost to stay alive, sheltered, fed, hydrated, medicated when needed, and clothed has been staggering compared to the cost of the same goods in Europe or America. He has previously earned around $50,000, which was paid out in small amounts every week or two over the past 2.5 years. (so figure $25,000 annually for a family of ten, facing $200 a lb chicken prices - if chicken can be found) He doesn't have any of that amount remaining on hand, as it has covered the above expenses. He continues to have a legitimate need for your assistance to cover these things. And he works very hard to bring in money to support his family. Please do not abandon him.
About Sobhe
Sobhe Al Sayyed has beaten all the odds to survive 2.5 full years of genocide in Gaza. He survived the Al Shifa Hospital massacre, Flour Massacre 1, Flour Massacre 2, multiple bombardments, a 4-day siege on his house, the intentional destruction of his house, and a second direct siege of his home. He has lost both grandmothers last year and is currently under ongoing attack as the North is being broadly massacred, unchecked by any international accountability systems.
Sobhe worked hard to earn his first $20,000 to reach safety, but that fund was shut down by GFM. Sobhe worked hard again to earn nearly $30,000 again, but those funds were frozen by the bank, and most recently, he worked hard YET AGAIN and successfully raised $30,000 over the past year. Sobhe is now seeking a total of $50,000 to survive the ongoing genocide.
Please share this fund and help Sobhe's family survive these impossible odds. Give his family the hope they are struggling to find. Share what you can when you can to help them access food, shelter, and basic needs.
