Mike has been trying to get help through disability through the state but todo so has needed to make visit to doctors to provide proof, unfortuntely because of the disibility is unable to work and not able to get any kind of state assistance to pay for doctors visits. Funds raised are going straight towards doctors visits and rides back and forth. I ask to please help out and anything at all helps to make these visits so i am able to gain assistance and work towards trying to get back on my feet.

A few years ago, I had surgery to remove part of my intestine, and it didn’t seal up correctly. After the hospital sent me home, I ended up having to go back 3 days later, then spent almost a month in the hospital due to having succumbed to sepsis. I had an ostomy bag (all of my waste, pee and poo, went into that bag instead of the normal route) for 4 months and then it was reversed. Everything seemed to be all right up until about a year ago, when I discovered that they had not sealed up the “exit”, the hole that they had punched through the musculature of my abdomen, in order to pull a piece of intestine through for the ostomy. Now my intestines seem to be trying to use that hole in the muscle, which remains and has gotten larger, as an escape route, leaving me with a massive and very painful bulge (hernia) sticking out of my belly. It makes it nearly impossible to lift any significant weight, and sometimes just moving around is more pain than is easily bearable.
This image is of the "least" state. This is pretty much what it defaults to, and while I can push that bulge back in, sometimes that is more painful than just letting it be.
At times it gets even worse, and THAT is painful to the extreme. I would dearly like to be able to see a doctor about this, but as many know, unless you are in danger of immediate death, no ER actually has to treat you if you cannot afford it.
Thanks to certain decisions made at the state government level back when the ACA was being enacted, it was decided (not by me) that I would rather not have insurance than to be forced to have it, and as a result, I am unable to get assistance in this regard.
I have been trying to find work for months, but my physical restrictions have stood steadfastly in the way, and things are getting desperate.
I need to see doctors. I need to establish a medical need for disability assistance, as I am physically unable to do any of the work that I have done all my life and am qualified for, and months of fruitless searches has failed to turn up anything suitable that I actually can do.
Any and all funds raised will be used to further that goal, spent either directly on doctor visits, Uber or Lyft to and from, or lawyer fees associated with getting SSI started.
Please help me raise enough money to see some doctors and get this taken care of. If you cannot, yourself, help monetarily, please help boost the signal, get this out there so that those who might be able and inclined can help me out.
