My passion is helping people and making a difference in the world. I have been volunteering for over 15 years in the bay area  I am actively a devoted full-time volunteer in the community of Oakland California near 21st Street and San Pablo avenue. I devote my full-time towards making the community a cleaner and safer place for people like you, me and families. Due to the homeless crisis the gateway in which I volunteer at remains unsafe and dirty. The children's playground has been burnt down and there is homeless people wondering around. The lack of respect for the area itself has been lost and I feel as if the homeless encampments are responsible for the nuisance itself. I want to raise money to buy 30-day motel vouchers. 30 of the motel vouchers will be used to house 30 individuals who are currently living under the bridge two blocks from my community.  By doing so we can make the streets in my community safer as well as getting homeless people a place to stay for part of the winter. I know that this is not going to be a permanent solution but in the meantime I am willing to advocate for housing with some of these individuals in finding permanent shelter. Due to the fact that Oakland Lacks homeless shelters there is an overabundance of immediate need for shelter. I am devoted and committed to my goal. I appreciate every penny we get towards ending the homeless crisis in my community and  in Oakland California thank you.
