I know so many are struggling these days and my story is far from unique
Like many others due to the pandemic I had lost my job and exhausted my unemployment benefits and now way behind on bills and rent.
I applied for rental assistance back in September. In January my landlord was notified that we got approved and they should expect a payment soon. But they never did. And when they called to follow up they were told that the state had run out of funds and they had to make a cut off date which and therefore we will not be getting any rental assistance that we were counting on.
Although I started a new job recently I am still drowning in debt and having a hard time staying current as well as catching up.
i am now at the point of desperation bc I am trying to avoid eviction and moving which would also cost me more than I can afford.
So I am humbly asking my friends for help Every dollar counts and is greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
