LaRue county sheriff's department is small agency with not enough deputies and not enough funding. The county government is a huge supporter and they do the very best they can to allocate funds for the sheriff's office. We just don't have much money to pull from. We are in need of a new computer for the deputies office. A few deputies have used their own personal funds to buy computer equipment. I would like to get a doc, monitor, keyboard, and mouse. This way each officer could bring their department issued laptops in to the office. Typing up The lengthy reports on a laptop screening with a laptop keyboard can be cumbersome. This would improve the quality and efficiency in the way we complete reports and work on court documents.
