Cynthia Kesler is a wife, mother of 4, grandmother to 18 grandchildren, and friend to many. In recent years she was diagnosed with heart failure, and after consultations with five different cardiologist has received the news that a heart transplant is her final option for recovering from her condition. Over these last few years daily life has become increasingly difficult, with Cynthia's health declining significantly. All Cynthia wants is to feel well enough to do basic day to day activities and enjoy time with her family and friends without the significant and exhausting effort it currently requires of her; to regain a better quality of life.

In order to be accepted for a heart transplant, there are many requirements that Cynthia must meet. One of these is to show that she can afford the portion of the surgery and medications that she will be responsible for. The estimated out of pocket cost for the surgery alone is almost $10,000, with the medications being a lifelong, monthly expense. Any contributions that you make will be saved for this purpose, as well as any lost wages Tim, her husband, will incur when he takes time off of work to help care for Cynthia in the long days of recovery after the surgery.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about, and consider contributing to, the cause to help bring Cynthia back to good health. It is appreciated more than you know. Whether you can contribute monetarily or not, please do take the time to pray for Cynthia and our efforts to raise funds for her surgery and recovery.

God bless.

It has been a long time coming and we are sorry grateful it is finally here!

Mom finished the last of her required appointments and received a phone call on Tuesday, while she was in the ER due to severe chest pain and low heart rate, that she had finally been put officially on the transplant list as a level 4. (What a wonderful consolation to receive in the midst of the suffering she was going through; I know it was a consolation for me). Level 4 denotes the priority she is given on the list. It isnt as high as 1-3, and while I am personally glad that she isnt as bad off as she could be, I am amazed after watching the suffering she has increasingly endured, that she isnt higher on the list.

Regardless, we are incredibly grateful that she is finally at this point in the heart transplant process. She was told that she could receive a new heart as early as a few months, but of course that isnt gauranteed. She still needs all the prayer and support she can get while awaiting that phone call!

Please pray for her and if you are able to and feel so called, donate to continue to help her and my father afford the bills that will continue to come in throughout this process. We appreciate everyone who has helped them and we cant say thank you enough. God bless.

06/08/26-UPDATE; At 3:20pm Cynthia was notified by telephone she has been accepted and placed on the transplant list as a Status 4. We will give more information on what a status 4 means in an update post. This is great news, as now she is actively waiting for a new heart and the call could come anytime, any day. You can follow her journey on her FB page A New Heart for Mom Journey Support.

Again we thank you each and everyone for your time, prayers, love and donations. As of today she has had to pay out 10,000$ for out-of-pocket as well as $19,823.00 in dental work not covered by medical or dental insurance in order to continue her acceptance.

A New Heart for Mom Journey update

Had my last evaluation meeting this morning. I got my last required clearance, I should be going before the board this Friday and getting my approval (number) for transplant if all goes well.

Just have to get my dental work scheduled.

Things just got a whole lot more real.

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support.

Today I lost my balance after my BP dropped upon standing and I hit our end-table. I ended up with 7 stitches above my right eye and 2 stitches on the bridge of my nose and a stery strip on the left side of my nose.

while at the hospital they now here a crackling sound when I breathe indicating fluid build up in the air sacs of my lungs.

heart failure sucks, but with your prayers, shares and donations, I will get my new heart a win the battles along the way.
