My name is Jermaine Blanchard, a father of two boys and married to my sweet wife since 2016. I grew up in Memphis, TN where i graduated high school and moved to Searcy, AR to attend Harding University. I played football there and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. I went from college to managing at Walgreens for a short time and Lowe’s Home Improvement for majority of my professional career. I enjoyed the retail environment but after a while I was looking for something more. I wanted the opportunity to run my own business, manage people, and create opportunities for other people offering a work/life balance. I will be the first to admit that I have no experience working for myself nor purchasing a business but I found an opportunity to do just that. Sometimes the only way to gain experience is to jump right in. That being said I was in for a rude awakening. The process has been very difficult which seems to be fairly normal for most going into business for themselves.
I now own a Ready Mix/Concrete business in Romance, AR that has a lot of potential. Unfortunately startup cost is a huge opportunity right now and I’m choosing this as avenue in hopes of purchasing necessary equipment and resources to put this business in the best position possible to meet the demands of the market.
