Marina is a single mother from Kiev, Ukraine. After hiding in bomb shelters for several weeks after the start of the Russian invasion she finally escaped with her elderly parents and two children. She drove across most of Ukraine, Poland, Germany to Épinal, France, to a house of distant relative. Unfortunately, there already was another Ukranian refugee family living there. In all there were 11 adults and children living in a small apartment there and there was no place for Marina and her family. Through a stroke of luck she found a family that was willing to share their second residence in Guardamar del Segura, Spain for free. Marina's family is now out of danger but there is little to no support for refugees in the small town her family ended up in. We are raising money for Marina to buy food for her family for the next half a year. Hopefully the war will be over by then.
