My name is Hannah Pond, and I have had the privilege of representing the beautiful town of Summerville this year. Through this opportunity, I have had the privilege of meeting people of all walks of life and have learned so much about them and myself along the way.
The most rewarding part of my time as a titleholder has been the work that I have done with my community service initiative: Radiating Resilience. I am a survivor of several traumatic experiences and have made it my mission to help others who are in the shoes I was once in. Advocacy and hands-on service related to domestic violence and sexual abuse are integral to my goal of illuminating the path towards healing.
This journey has been fulfilling. Not only have I earned academic scholarships, but I have also gained incredible interview and public speaking skills, confidence, and cultivated my passion for service.
