Fast forward three years and Basecamp has 8 athletes headed to a regionals climbing competition, been a place of community and connection for those new to the area, taken hundreds of kids climbing outside in the summer, served as a medium to teach kids occupational therapy, and been a place of meaningful employment for 8 dedicated Black Hills climbers.
Because we never dreamed that so many climbers would find a home at Basecamp, things are getting crowded. And because many of the costs of building a newer, bigger space are at the beginning, we're asking our community for help. Our goal of raising $14k will pay for an adjustable wall to help climbers in our community train hard and track progress. Any funds raised beyond that will go toward new holds to help keep our route setting on par with the quality you've come to know and love.
