Last night, our family’s world changed forever.
My 17-year-old nephew, Braylon, was burning brush when the flames unexpectedly reached a fuel can and caused an explosion in his hands. In an instant, Braylon suffered severe burns to his body. Both of his arms, his chest, neck, and torso sustained third-degree burns, while his face, legs, and back have second-degree burns. Doctors are hopeful that his face will heal and that his hair will grow back, but the road ahead is long and incredibly difficult.
Braylon was airlifted from Paintsville, Kentucky, to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he is now receiving specialized care in the burn unit. He is expected to remain there for at least six weeks, undergoing intensive treatment, surgeries, and rehabilitation.
His parents—both small business owners—have closed their businesses indefinitely to be by their son’s side every moment they can. Right now, their only focus is Braylon’s survival, healing, and recovery.
Severe burn injuries are not just physically devastating—they are emotionally and financially overwhelming. The cost of long-term burn care can be staggering, and the recovery process doesn’t end when Braylon leaves the hospital. He will face months, possibly years, of healing, therapy, and rebuilding his strength.
We are asking for help—not because it’s easy, but because it’s necessary.
Every donation, every share, and every prayer helps lift a burden from this family so they can focus on what truly matters: helping Braylon heal and move forward. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser means more than you know.
Thank you for standing with Braylon and our family during the hardest moment of our lives. Your kindness, generosity, and support will never be forgotten.
❤️
