Welcome to our page

Our journey has been filled with challenges, strength, and unwavering hope. At 19 weeks gestation, we learned that our baby boy was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart syndrome (HLHS), where his heart didn't develop fully on the left side. Despite facing numerous obstacles, our little warrior Kolt has shown immense courage.

From undergoing open heart surgery at just 3 days old to discovering a cyst on his bile duct and being diagnosed with Kabuki syndrome, Kolt has braved every hurdle with remarkable resilience. However, his condition requires specialized care and treatment that is only available at Texas Children's hospital, seven hours away from our home.

With four other children at home and one parent caring for Kolt, we face financial strain due to travel expenses, medical bills, and accommodation costs. Your support in easing this burden will allow us to focus on Kolt's care without additional worries.

We humbly ask for your help in raising funds for Kolt's medical journey. Your contributions will directly aid us in covering essential expenses and providing the best possible care for our son. Your thoughts and prayers are also deeply appreciated as we navigate through this challenging time together.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering supporting our family. Every donation and prayer mean the world to us.

With love,

The Webster Family

On 9/30/2024 at 10:04pm Kolt gained his wings and went to heaven. We are hurting and this was not how Kolts story was suppose to go. We are grieving now and I’m so sorry to say the next updates will be Funeral details. We want to thank everyone for your patience but didn’t want to announce anything until we were able to tell our other kids. Kolt didn’t die in vein and this is not where his story ends. Our baby was strong, loving, inspiring, and such a fighter unfortunately we couldn’t get him the help he needed in time. If you feel inclined please share Kolt’s Story we were not ready to say goodbye or to plan a funeral  #LiveKoltsWay #getkolthelp #hlhswarrior #kabukisyndrome #koltbenjamin

Update: 9/27/24

Today was a really hard day Kolt has been in pain all day and has required more pain meds than normal. So this momma bear is outraged that the drs at Texas children’s think this is ok to leave Kolt this way. I since they delivered the news they weren’t going to help him I’ve been researching and contacting different Hospitals to get Kolt the care he needs.

With the assistance of our home hospital OU Children’s we have sent his medical file to Boston children’s and Children’s of LA and are in process of sending it to Morgan Stanley Children’s in New York.

While we wait on answers I’m asking for Family Advocacy to meet with us so we can get a better resolution than just watch your son die. I’ve also consulted with Kolts heart surgeon and we are in agreement they need to do something because he can make it. Our surgeon said and I quote “he’s already made it through the hardest part why does he think he won’t make it” that was fuel for me to get louder and have even more strength to fight.

Please continue to pray for us that we will either find a facility that is able and willing to help Kolt or Texas Children’s Hospital has a better plan.

We will not give up!

Update: Today Texas Children’s Hospital told us that they have no treatment for Kolt that would help drain his bile from his liver. They told us to just make him comfortable and spend as much time with him as we can. I’m refusing to take that as an answer so I will be getting opinions from other hospitals. Please continue to pray for Kolt.pray to give the drs wisdom so that they can con up with answers for us
