These two sweet Dalmatians were rescued from being euthanized in San Benito, Texas after being owner surrendered. We were told the owner no longer wanted to risk getting tickets from them escaping the yard.
When we picked them up, they were covered in fleas, ticks, and dirt, and it was clear they had not been receiving the care they deserved. Neither dog was fixed, vaccinated, or sent with any medical history. The female appears to have had puppies within the last few months, so it’s very possible they came from a backyard breeding situation.
Despite everything they have been through, both of them have been incredibly sweet and loving. With proper care, patience, and attention, they have so much potential to become amazing companions.
We are currently working with Paw Print Sanctuary, a nonprofit animal rescue in Calvert, to help get these dogs the care and fresh start they deserve.
So far, we have already spent around $580 covering vaccines, transportation, and getting them fixed so they can have a fresh start and never contribute to the cycle they likely came from.
If anyone would like to help with their care and medical expenses, any donation — no matter how small — would be deeply appreciated. Even sharing this post helps give these dogs a better chance at the life they deserve.
Thank you for supporting rescue dogs and giving forgotten animals a second chance. ❤️
