Hello! My name is Lyndsay, as apart of my Associates degree I am completeting a service learning project. I came across Therapeion while researching some ideas and as a long time horse lover decided this is the perfect non-profit to support! They are an extrordinary team of people who partner with horses to help those with disabilities.
"Therapeion Therapeutic Riding Center was founded in 2007 to provide therapeutic riding services for persons of all ages with disabilities and youth facing difficult life challenges. Our mission is to facilitate the healing of body and spirit through the interaction between humans and horses. Our pilot program was held in the summer of 2007 and from there we have grown to offer services March through October to over 100 individuals with disabilities in the greater Lafayette/Brookston/Delphi area in north-central Indiana.
Therapeion relies on donations and sponsorships from individuals, families, foundations, and corporations to help fund its programs."
