My Fellow Inmates,

Good afternoon, my name is Rubberasylum. I have been in this community for over 30 years.

In the last 18 months. my partner passed away, and with a missing will the family quickly moved in and took our home & everything else of value from us.

for 17 years the family treated us as one of their own until we were in the way of them grabbing the game we had already won.

for the majority of the last year I sulked in trauma, and the never ending degradation of self gravitas… and Whisky

Lol, lots and lots of whisky.

I had to swim back to the top of the bottle and ask myself “what now?”

Three months ago I began prototyping. I reached out to others to see if I could get an investor to help me get my needed materials and tools

The “No” in response was deafening.

Not letting that stop me, and now having some people to prove wrong, I drove forward with a borrowed Singer heavy duty sewing machine and basic tools from Tandy.

My first builds were clunky, as one would expect, but constant practice has lead up to the current launch of the V2s.

I am very excited for this launch, but the process to get here has been very bumpy.

I began with 2 leather hides from my ex, and a ton of other potentially repurposed and modified gear.

After a ton of missteps. which included the sewing machine dying early, causing me to have to learn quality without stitches…

I listed my first two prototypes:

The first two prototypes sold. One at $200 and one at $175

it was a good start and that money was put in to new materials to continue to prototype.

For the immanent V2 launch we have 10 V2 bodys ready to go…

but first we ran out of D-Rings, then eyelets, finally as the large rivets started running thin I had to admit I didn’t have enough in hand to complete the gear simply waiting for its hardware.

So since we are quickly running out of hardware to use, only 5 will be able to be listed for now.

I am happy continuing to build to my limitations and grow as we have the ability to.

However yesterday I posted my new strap work, and proposed to do prototype tests on a full body system.

People started hitting me up to get builds based off this concept. I had to turn them down as we are still in early growth stages  and I don’t have the materials or hardware to build requests beyond my projects atm

I am opening this because I was asked to by someone why wanted to help my prototyping efforts.

What do I need?

*A leather sewing machine
*A Rivet press

Lol!

Man, wouldn’t that be nice (if someone had $3k to give, lol)

But more realistically I would invest anything in to the rubber strapping, rivets, eyelets, Segufix locks & latex to build out the new rubber medical restraint system, as well as in to new materials needed for the paws.

I thank you for your consideration
