Hi, I'm Jasper! I am the parent of Phoenix: the coolest kid you'll ever meet. Phoenix is 9 years old, autistic (with co-occurring conditions) and nonbinary. Phoenix is obsessed with ghosts, comic books, D&D, and drawing. They're also incredibly funny and a talented story teller.
I am humbly asking for help accessing necessary services for Phoenix for the summer break, this year.
Because of their disabilities, there are almost no accessible summer programs that have the supports and services Phoenix needs to stay happy and safe. So I am reaching out for community support.
We are trying to raise enough money to provide Phoenix with 1:1 care during the summer break, so that they can experience summer adventures and programs alongside their peers. Like I said, Phoenix is the coolest kid and deserves just as much joy and enrichment as any other 9 year old. Unfortunately, the accommodations required to do so are frustratingly difficult to come by. So we have to ask for extra support.
