Update: On the morning of Jan 11, 2026, my wonderful wife, Eva Solomon Wade has sadly lost her battle with cancer. She put up an amazing fight and was so strong in so many ways. She will be greatly missed.

My wonderful wife Eva Solomon Wade has sadly lost her battle with cancer.

Her memorial service will be on Jan 31st, 11 AM

Here is the link to the event with the details:
https://local.churchofjesuschrist.org/e/157276027?icid=actsh|cal|web|mis|global|global

The plan is to also have a zoom link as well for those who cannot attend in person.

I am not asking anyone to contribute here,  it this is a quick way for me to update everyone. But if you do contribute here, anything here will be used for related expenses and then anything left over will go to a cancer foundation.

I would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, please donate to a cancer foundation, perhaps one that has some focus on endometrial cancer in honor of Eva, I really believe that is what she would want. Here is one such organization https://foundationforwomenscancer.org/support-us/donate/

_______________________________________________

As many of you know, Eva is battling with endometrial cancer and while we are fortunate enough to have insurance, it doesn't pay for everything and there are medical bills that we need some help with.

For those that don't know Eva, she is one of the kindest, sweetest people you could ever meet.

She will do whatever she can to help a tone she can, she is the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it more.

She would normally bring working as a substitute teacher who has a soft spot for the special needs classes, which she is currently unable to do.

Any assistance is always appreciated and will help her to be able to be far less stressed in continuing this fight.

I wanted to make a moment and thank everyone for all of their love and support and post an update, as I know there are people here who I have no other way to contact.

Hi all, in an effort to attract more donors outside of this circle, I have started another campaign specifically for our cat's vet needs. Anything that is donated in excess of what we need for his medical care will be donated to a non-profit that will help cats in need, although I haven't figured out the best one yet.

Hi all, an update about our kitten Cole, he is making remarkable progress. We would like to thank each and every one of you for the prayers and well wishes so far.

We aren't completely out of the woods yet with him, but getting there.

We started off this year in a bit better financial position, so we were really hoping to not have to ask for any further donations at this time for Eva's medical issues and we still aren't for hers. But the treatment for Cole has not been inexpensive and we know it is asking a lot, but if anyone would like to contribute some towards the vet visits, it would be appreciated.

Please note that I (Chris) and the one posting this and I am only asking if you would like to do so, he has done so much for Eva's mental health that I can't let the costs be what prevents us from finishing what he may need.

If you can't contribute or don't wish to do so because this is for the cat and not Eva directly, I completely understand and don't want anyone to feel bad for that.

I want to thank everyone who has shown us support in any way throughout all of this, we couldn't have come as far as we can without each and every one of you.

Hi all, I would like to give an update on where we stand right now.

Eva is continuing to fight and the tumor is continuing to shrink. We are by no means out of the woods yet, but this is going in the right direction.

As I shared in my last post, a kitten pretty much adopted us, but right now he isn't doing well. He developed FIP, it is essentially a feline coronavirus that until recently was pretty much a death sentence. We are lucky that there are treatments and he is responding well to treatment. But he has the dry version that is causing some neurological issues, which has caused some bladder issues that then resulted in skin ulcerations and a UTI, we are also now treating him for that,  but they are pretty bad. So, we are asking for everyone prayers, well wishes, etc. for him as well. He has been a huge blessing in our lives and we just want to get him better.

If you would like to learn more about FIP, please visit:

https://www.fip-global.com/fip-treatment/

They are one of the companies that sells the treatment, but they also have a lot of good information.

While any and all donations are always appreciated, this is much more a call for prayer, good vibes, etc. as we really need all the help in that way we can get, as we just want him to get better.

I thank everyone in advance for their prayers and well wishes.

We would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all who have helped contribute in any form, sharing this, donations, prayers, good vibes, etc.

To the best of our knowledge we are now current on all medical bills and we couldn't have done it without each and every one of you.

On an even better note, for those who don't know, the tumor appears to be about half of its original size and things seem to be slowly improving day by day, not as fast as Eva wants it to of course, but still improving.

For those that don't know, we also have a cat that adopted us and honestly, I think that has done a lot to help Eva's spirits as well.

That isn't to say we are out of the woods yet, all good thoughts, vibes, prayers are greatly appreciated.

Right now, we are at our out of pocket maximum for medical items that insurance does cover, but that resets on Jan 1st. We don't want anyone to feel any pressure, especially during the holidays to donate more, but if you can so that we can keep ahead of it, that is great, if not, please know we appreciate everything that every single one of you has done for us and Eva and I look forward to being able to thank each of you in person someday.

While anything is appreciated, this isn't really asking for money, but to say Thank You to all.
