Hello, my name is Michelle, and I am a proud mom of three beautiful girls—my oldest is 3 years old, and I have a set of 18-month-old twins. Being their mother is the greatest blessing, but it has also been one of the hardest journeys of my life.
When I gave birth to the twins, there were complications that kept me from being able to return to work right away. Since then, life has been a constant uphill battle. Medical bills have piled up, and despite working low hours whenever I can, it’s simply not enough to cover the rising cost of rent, food, and basic necessities. Because of my limited hours, I don’t qualify for food stamps, which makes feeding three little ones even more overwhelming.
I feel backed into a corner and, truthfully, asking for help is not easy for me. But as a mother, I will do whatever it takes to provide for my daughters and keep a roof over our heads.
