As some of you know Titus was my son that passed away from stage four Neroblastoma in October of 2021 at the age of 5. Titus was my world, as he was many peoples world. He was full of love, life  and pure happiness. My goal with this fundraiser is to raise money for the cost of the publishing, copywrite fees, illustrations, editor, as well as a  contracting lawyer to the money publish a book about Titus and his story to educate children that are dealing with cancer and to educate the child's friend on what is happening to their body and what they are going through, and that they are just as normal and should be accepted as any other child that's not dealing with a life threatening disease. This book is also going to give the parents the tool that they need to explain whats going on and what could potentially happen with their disease and to make it less scary for the child. I started writing this book back in November/December of 2021 shortly after Titus passed to cope with the loss of him. It started off as a general idea that I had lingering but didn't know how to go about making it a reality. During those months I couldn't bring myself to touch the keyboard because it was too sad, but with some courage and the thought of Titus being a proud son knowing his mama made a book about him I had to push through. I recently finished this book a few weeks ago and currently doing the process to publish and get it illustrated. With all that being said self publishing a book can get expensive and seeking an agent to take on the project can take months even years to get a response back. I want to create this book and get it in the works as soon as possible so that children suffering from a life threatening disease such as cancer have the knowledge and awareness that they are not alone and to make the process of beating cancer less scary and more approachable. Please help me make this dream a reality.
