I'm a Disabled Veteran, and I found my sanctuary where I feel the peace I desperately needed. I'm working every day to pay it off so I can really feel at peace and enjoy my land. The only way I can feel that is if it's actually paid off with no mortgage. So I can't enjoy my sanctuary without the mortgage cloud over my head. I'm working to pay off the $400,000. I fought with myself over whether to reach out for help. I think about others like people experiencing homelessness, I've been there, I know that feeling of worthlessness. I've served more than 24 years, and I'd do it again free of charge. I don't want or need anything for my service. Our country, the United States, is my home, and every U.S. citizen is my family. I served because I love my home and my family. My enlistment has no expiration date. There are charities out there that really need our help: those helping children, women, and people experiencing homelessness. If the choice is between helping them or me, I'd rather you choose and donate to help them. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
