USA Deaf Bowling Team
The Deaflympics (Deaf + Olympics) are a unique quadrennial event recognized by the International Olympic Committee in which the world’s best Deaf and Hard of Hearing athletes from over 75 nations compete for a chance to win the Gold.
I would like to share my story. I have been bowling since I was 12 years old. I have been all over the United States bowling in tournaments. I am very honored to be a part of USA Deaf bowling team for the 25th Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan I am very excited because it is my FIRST time to participate in the USA Deaflympics. I am truly looking forward to representing our country.
Yet, I cannot do this alone. Unlike Olympians and Paralympians who are backed by the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee and TV broadcasting rights, Deaflympians must raise funds to cover training, equipment, and travel costs. To do so, we often rely on the generosity and collaboration of our donors and sponsors.
I would love your help to achieve this dream of mine to bowl at the Deaflympics, I am asking for donation no matter how small. In order to raise the necessary funds are to cover the expenses like the flight, room and board, apparel, and training camp. The expected cost per athlete is around $6,500, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
