Hi, My name is Christina Butcher. My husband Charles Lucas had a stroke on January 13th 2024 and he has bleeding on his brain. He was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton Ohio for emergency surgery. He is now on life support and a feeding tube. Myself and our children wants to be with him but unfortunately we do not have the funding to be able to get a motel and gas to get to him. We have seen him 3 times since he has went to the hospital. My youngest daughter is having a hard time dealing with her dad being in the hospital and not being able to be with him. Our youngest grandson is also having a hard time he misses his papaw. If anyone can help we would greatly appreciate it if not please pray for my husband and our family. Thank you for your time. God bless.

Charles is doing much better now. He is using a walker to get around but for the most part he is in a wheelchair. He can not use his left arm still but that's ok. He is eating on his own now no feeding tube no oxygen. I'm very proud of him. He has come along ways.

Chucky is doing so much better. He is rolling himself over and grabbing the bed railing with his right hand to pull himself up. He still can't talk but he can node yes and no he also gives a thumbs up. He is still on the ventilator.

Chucky is doing better. He is on a trach and feeding tube now doing good with it so far. He will be taken from ICU to step down which is good. Then he will be going to a LTAC hospital.

Today Chucky is doing better. He is more alert has eyes open more today. They will be putting in a feeding tube and trach tomorrow so that the swelling can go down in his mouth tongue and throat more. He is able to move his right hand and foot. But still not moving his life side like they want him to. Please keep praying for him and our family. Thank you and God bless.

Update as of today Chucky rolled over for the nurse to clean his back side. He was also breathing on his own for a few hours today but they had to put him back on the life support due to him getting irritated. The swelling in his face has went down some as well. God works in mysterious ways.
