My name is Maryanne Chisholm. If you are familiar with my story you may know I spent 14 years in prison fighting a wrongful conviction, until I won relief on appeal in 2018.
Today I run a project that sends portraits loved ones who have passed as gifts to survivors.
I'm calling this endeavor "Portraits for Grief" - and I'm sending this today to ask for modest sponsors. For two years I have been continuing this work. This week I had several new requests, and I am short of resources and supplies.
I am writing today to ask for help in my ongoing effort to continue to provide comfort to individuals and families who have lost their loved ones to COVID, or other causes. It is not just grief for family members and loved ones, but also Pets. During COVID many people turned to their animals for love and support. I also paint animals, birds, even fish and lizards to fill the void left from a sudden loss.
I an established, award winning artist that works in multiple mediums. To date I have sent dozens of pieces to people in need, at no charge whenever possible. Demand is increasing, and I am attempting to keep up withut charging during their time of loss. I specialize in hyperrealism, My watercolor and enamel paintings are blocked over low resolution photo canvases, the entire canvas is hand painted.
