A Plea for Help: A Second Chance for John Mark Evan
This is a difficult post to write, but when it comes to family, we leave no stone unturned. Our beloved John Mark Evan Hernandez, only 25 years old, was recently diagnosed with Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM)—a complex and dangerous tangle of blood vessels in the brain.
Because of the location and nature of the AVM, his best and only option for treatment is Gamma Knife Surgery. This is a specialized, non-invasive procedure that can save his life without the risks of traditional open-brain surgery.
The Challenge We Face
There is currently only one hospital in the entire Philippines capable of performing this specific procedure. The cost for the surgery alone is ₱650,000, and this does not yet include his required laboratory tests, hospital admission, and post-operative care.
John Mark is at the prime of his life—full of dreams and so much more to give. We are doing everything we can, but the financial weight of this life-saving treatment is more than we can carry alone.
