Hello, my name is Will but you may know me better as Bride. I have put together this fundraiser on behalf of our friend and community leader Holly AKA Pixie, who finds herself in severe financial distress. I have heard all about her struggles over the past two years I have known her, and I can attest that she has tried her very best to stabilize her situation at every turn. However, she now faces eviction if she is unable to pay her back-owed rent. She does not deserve to live in her car. Please take the time to read her story in her own words below. Pix is Facing Eviction. Would You Like to Help?
Hi ya. If you’re reading this you’re a friend of mine I feel comfortable sharing this with, and I wanna thank you for being here.
I started falling behind on rent early in 2024 and have accumulated this debt over some months. I just can’t make enough to cover all of my expenses, plus all the various emergencies that keep coming up.
If I don’t pay my debt by March 3rd, my landlord’s lawyer has written that he will begin the complaint process. It will be the start of the eviction.
Nothing I’ve tried to do to solve this problem has worked, as of this writing. I’m a temporary worker. I’ve tried getting hired permanently so I can take out a hardship loan, but my employer’s time table is too slow to be of help. I’ve applied for public aid, but even if I get approved, it will not be nearly enough.
How it Started
This all started when I lost my job as an SEO Onboarding Writer during COVID, and I still have not found another full time writing job. The profession is now saturated with AIs and I may need to find a new career. I also tried starting a restaurant after COVID but the profit margins were too thin.
Lastly, if you know me well you know I have PTSD because of my father. The amount of stress this year caused me to have a mental health crisis near the end of 2024. This made just going to work and dealing with these problems even harder.
With every month that passes this debt grows bigger. I just recently lost Medicaid and do not have any health insurance as of the time of this writing. I have two toy poodles whom I’m responsible for, including healthcare and grooming.

I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t think it was absolutely necessary. I can’t lose this apartment because I won’t be able to find another one here in Vermont because there’s so little housing around here. And today it’s 19 out, making winter a really bad time to get evicted.
