Many of you have heard the devastating news - our beloved Richard Garfinkle, known to all of us as Ricky Bobby, was tragically killed on Thursday, April 9th.
What the news couldn't fully capture was the weight Ricky Bobby was carrying in his final days. Just weeks before, he had lost his father - a grief that was still so raw. He was a man who loved deeply, and that love made loss especially hard to bear.
He leaves behind two sons, Charlie and Joe, who are now facing the unimaginable - mourning both their grandfather (funeral) and their father within the same week. The road ahead for these boys will be long, and the people who love them want to make sure they don't walk it alone.
This GoFundMe has been created by Ricky Bobby's closest friends to help Charlie and Joe with immediate needs and the costs that follow a loss like this - so that those closest to the family can focus on healing rather than hardship.
