My name is Mindy Cherry. My husband name is Alan Cherry and we have a daughter name Mckayla cherry. We live in ATHENS, La. I doing this fundraiser for my husband Alan because he was arrested on Thanksgiving Day and he is in the Claiborne Parish Detention Center. and I'm needing to raise money to hire him a good lawyer. I can't go into details just yet about his arrest cause he hasn't been to court yet but what I can say it was not Alan fault. People that truly know him can tell you that Alan is a great great guy who loves  his family so much. He will help anybody he can. He trustworthy and honest and works hard to provide and give his family the best life he can. Is he perfect no who is   I  only know one person and that's God. We all make mistakes but my husband does not deserve to be sitting in jail on a $200,000 bond for a first offence. He is having a rough time trying to adjust to it. My heart breaks for him everytime he calls me. I can't even imagine what he is going through. I get to talk to him one time a day and I get to visit on the weekend for 15 minutes sometime 30 minutes.. I'm worried about his safely and stressing myself to death over it. He called my daughter Tuesday and she says what's wrong dad you don't sound like yourself. He tells her he had to go to the hospital Monday night because of  a inmate decided he didn't like my husband so the inmate started on him they get into a argument the inmate takes Alan mattress off his 🛏️ 7 and throws it on the floor so Alan walks to his mattress and picks it up to put back on his bed and as he turns to put the mattress back onto his bed this inmate hits Alan in the face with a lock and busted Alan's face up. Alan goes to the hospital and has to have stitches on the inside and outside of his mouth plus it knocked out some of his teeth. Now Alan is in severe pain can't eat or drink anything. He gets a prescription of antibiotics because Alan gets staph easy but the guards don't give him his medicine untill yesterday. He didn't deserve that. I have cried till I can't cry no more. I need to be able to hopefully raise some money to hire him a good lawyer so we can get a bail reduction and hopefully get him out and back home if I don't he will possibly do jail time and I depend on him for so much. I do not drive I never have so he takes me where I need to go. I never lived by myself yes my daughter lives with us to and yes she works but she has her own bills to pay. I'm scared and don't know how I'm going  to make it without him he is the main provider for us. He needs your help it doesn't matter how much anything will get him a little closer to getting home to us. He is the Rock to our family. We need him.
