My name is Ahmed, and I am from Gaza, Palestine.
I graduated from Dhaka University in Bangladesh and returned home to Gaza in April 2023, full of hope and dreams of serving my community as a doctor. Just a few months later, everything changed.
The war took away the life we had built over many years. Our family home in Rafah was destroyed, forcing us to flee and become displaced. Like thousands of other families, we lost not only our home but also our sense of safety, stability, and the future we had worked so hard for.
Despite everything, I have continued to serve my people as a volunteer doctor, providing medical care to those affected by this humanitarian catastrophe.
Helping others has given me strength, but my own family is also in desperate need of support.
Today, we are trying to rebuild our lives from nothing. We need help securing safe shelter, replacing basic household necessities, covering medical expenses, and creating a chance for our family to live with dignity again.
