I live in an RV park in an older part of San Bernardino county, CA. As such, they are constantly working on updating the power grid, with "planned" (but not always communicated) power outages. With Summer approaching it is pretty imperative that I have a way to keep my RV fridge running to keep my insulin from spoiling, as well as my diabetic-friendly foods, which are expensive. With no health insurance, if my insulin goes bad I cannot afford to replace it and I'm as good as dead. I was able to get a small emergency insulin cooler thanks fo some early donations, but that is only a temporary solution. I've looked in to all sorts of other solutions that people have suggested, from backup generators to solar panels. The option that best meets my needs is a large capacity battery that can last up to 3 days and power the entire RV, if needed. These are not cheap, and after two back-to-back hospital stays we are flat broke. If I have ever made you smile at a ren faire, or otherwise touched your life in a positive way, please consider giving something if you can.
