Hi, my name is Christian. Recently, the roof in my house collapsed, and everything came crashing down on my bed and belongings. The damage was so bad that a lot of my things were destroyed, and to make matters worse, the collapse exposed feces from raccoons that had been living inside the roof. The home is no longer safe to live in.
I’m a veteran, and I am reaching out to Veterans Affairs to see if there are any programs that can help me and my family. But in the meantime, my kids and I urgently need a safe place to stay. I found a new home, but I only have a short time to come up with the security deposit and moving expenses. Unfortunately, my landlord isn’t returning my deposit in time, which puts us at risk of having nowhere to go.
I’m asking for help to cover security deposit for safe housing for me and my kids.
