Hello, Caring Community,
My name is Kandace Mell and I have an art studio in Amarillo Texas called Create Healing. I quit my job with the state to open this studio with the goal of providing help to the community.
The Studio's mission is to provide healing services to families with trauma through art expression. We have started many programs such as our Domestic Violence Victim, Sexual Assault Victim, Senior, and Self Expression Groups. However, for these groups to be successful in our community they need to be accessible to EVERYONE no matter their financial situation.
Our studio also provides classes for skill-building and entertainment. These classes help provide income to help the groups be more affordable. With current price increases, this income is simply not enough. I have had to take the focus off of what really matters ( The Groups and Healing ) to focus more on the entertainment classes. Though these are fun, I feel deeply that this is not what I created this space to be. As well as fun I want to offer support, help, guidance and healing to our community.
I am asking for help in accomplishing this goal. Can you gift our studio, these programs, and future programs with funding today?
