The Pink Pony is a family owned and operated business in downtown Boca Grande that has proudly served our beautiful island community delicious food and treats since 1988.

Our shop, like so many others along the coast of Florida, was recently devastated by the unexpected flooding from Hurricane Helene, and unfortunately incurred even further damages from the drastic storm surge of Hurricane Milton.

Everything from drywall, floors, furniture, electronics, air conditioning, merchandise, product, coolers, freezers & golf carts have been ruined and need to be repaired and replaced in this historical building to get the shop cleaned up and running again! We are beyond grateful to everyone who has been here to help us clean, haul and reorganize through this mess. Our thoughts and prayers are with all our neighbors, family, friends, fellow business and property owners along the coast as we endure these trying times together.

As a small family business, we are also owners of the entire commercial and residential property & our damages extend far outside the walls of the shop & restaurant - including two downstairs offices, 3 apartments, 2 garages, 1 storage shed (plus we were still in the process of rebuilding the upstairs residential family home from Hurricane Ian before these back to back natural disasters occurred).

This has been a complete loss for our family, as flood insurance is not financially attainable by small businesses in this area. We survived the challenging times of COVID & Hurricane Ian, but this latest blow has sadly kicked our legs out from under us.

We are so thankful to everyone who has reached out offering support and asking how to help. Any donation, no matter the size, will make it possible for us to rebuild, repair and reopen our doors to serve this community we love so dearly. We truly can't wait to see your smiling faces again!

We are beyond excited to announce that we will be reopening tomorrow... Saturday, November 30th!

We have been working tirelessly to make it to this point & cannot thank our friends and family enough for support through this tremendously difficult time.

Extra Special Thanks to Don Nordstrom for driving down from Chicago to rip the store apart and put it back together again, Jarrell Iacoma & Crew for lifting the contents of our store up on cinder blocks to endure the second flood, gutting the entire property, and continuing to help us with rebuilding efforts of the office units and residential spaces, Alex Kloers with AK Appliance for miraculously saving many of our coolers and freezers, Eric Rasmussen with High End Floor Coating of SWFL for our sparkly new floor, Shana Morris for help with clean up, child care and always making our signs beautiful, David Mota, Oksana & Stefan for all the clean up efforts and keeping Tortuga Food Truck up and running to feed the community, Epi & Crew for help with landscaping and new shell!

Many many hours of labor spent to be able to reopen our doors... we can't thank you all enough!!!

We are so grateful for all the generous donations, thank you 🙏

It’s been a productive week ripping up the floors, tearing out the drywall and insulation, hauling debris, and deep cleaning all around the property.

We unfortunately discovered that there is damage to the foundational structure of the building on the south side where the Chamber of Commerce and International Realty offices are located. It seems to have been washed out from the storm surge and is sinking.

Our game plan is to primarily focus on repairing The Pink Pony & Tortuga kitchen first, while also working on fixing the office spaces, and last will be repairing our residential spaces. We do not have an estimated date for reopen, but hoping it’s sooner than later!

Thank you to everyone who has come out to get their hands dirty helping us clean and repair! Extra Special Thanks to Jarrell, Big Don & David. You guys are amazing!

If you feel led to share this fundraiser with friends and family we would greatly appreciate it! 💗
