Hi my name is Lauren Evangelist. As some of you may know my dad has been struggling with lung cancer since I was in 8th grade (6 years) and it’s been a struggle. This is something I don’t like to talk about, especially here on a platform like this. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for your help. My amazing dad Michael, has been fighting a valiant battle against lung cancer for the past six years. As his daughter, I have witnessed his unwavering strength, determination, and resilience throughout this challenging journey. Despite the many obstacles he has faced, my dad continues to inspire us all with his courage and zest for life. However, the financial burden of his ongoing treatment has become overwhelming, and he is unable to work many hours. 
Over the past six years, my dad has endured countless chemotherapy sessions, radiation treatments, and surgeries. Despite the physical and emotional toll of these treatments, he has always maintained a positive outlook, believing that he will conquer this disease one day. His determination has been an inspiration to me and reminds me to keep pushing through everyday of life. 
Sadly through all of this it has put a heavy financial strain on my mom, dad and I. As my dads medical bills are going up and up and my mom is single handedly supporting me her daughter. 
In light of these circumstances, I have decided to set up this GoFundMe campaign to appeal for your support. Your generous contributions will provide much-needed financial relief, allowing my dad to focus on his treatment and recovery without the constant worry of mounting medical bills and having to push to go to work. Your donations will help cover the cost of medications, doctor visits, diagnostic tests, and other medical expenses not covered by insurance.
