Hello there!
I'm Alexis Lombard! Right now, I am currently raising funds for the Miss America Opportunity and the American Heart Association - two organizations that transformed my life.
In 1999, I joined the heart survivor community after surviving a congenital heart defect and two open heart surgeries. Growing up with a heart condition showed me the value of heart health at a young age.
Today, I work as a Paramedic in Minneapolis, Minnesota responding to emergencies for 1.2 million Minnesotans where some don't know the value of heart health until they are experiencing a stroke, heart attack, or on their last day in cardiac arrest.
From patient to provider, I've seen the power that innovation, research, and education has on creating more heart survivors, which is why I am a huge supporter of the AHA GO RED X Miss America partnership!
My mission to create more heart survivors is personal!
The chance to raise both research dollars AND tuition scholarships, ensuring a healthier, smarter future for women in America is life changing. I've seen it firsthand! So, thank you from the bottom (a.k.a. apex) of my heart for your kindness and generosity to a cause that affects 1 in 3 Americans!
