Hi. I assume most of you are here from YouTube, and in that case you already know what’s going on. But if not, let me catch you up. A while back, we were really struggling finding a place to rent within our budget and close enough to our jobs, since we have no transportation. Finally, a friend of ours who worked out of town offered us to sublet her apartment, it was like our prayers were answered! We moved in, and for a few months everything was great. A few days after we paid our rent for the last time, we got a knock on the door. It was the owner and the police! Our “friend” had been evicted! She didn’t bother to tell us anything. Since we had no right to the apartment, and the owner claimed he didn’t know we were even there (we were told it was approved.) We were immediately homeless. We don’t have family to help us. We have been in a hotel ever since, which more than tripled our cost of living. The rent alone is twice what we bring in a month. We both work, and do side jobs as often as we can.
Donating to this gives us a chance. It gives us a chance to get ahead. It gives us the chance to be able to possibly afford a deposit. It gives us a CHANCE! The simple fact of the matter is, staying here isn’t sustainable and we have already spent nights at time on the street. Anything is incredibly appreciated. Thank you so much for reading and considering us.
