Earlier today, our dear friends Emma and Mason experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Their home was struck by lightning, causing a devastating fire that destroyed their home and everything inside it. Very few things have been salvageable. Their 3 children lost everything in their room-clothes, beds, toys, personal belongings, all of the things that make a house feel like a home.
But among everything that was lost, the most heartbreaking loss is the one that can't be replaced. They lost all 3 of their animals in this fire, for whom they loved beyond belief. The grief of losing Harlow, Cheddar, and Oliver while also trying to process the loss of their home is indescribable.
This family has spent so much of their lives caring for others as nurses, showing up for people on some of their hardest days. As friends, they are the kind of people you can count on without hesitation, and now they are the ones who need people to show up for them.
They are essentially starting over from nothing. Right now they need everything-from clothing and basic necessities to items for the kids and all of the items that make a house a home. We are raising money to help take even a small amount of the weight off of their shoulders in the days and weeks ahead. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make the world of difference.
