I have supported this licensed Ugandan Orphanage for about 10 years and communicated many times with the director, including photos and videos. Currently 256 orphans live there and a total of 568 are there for the day.
With the African economy being difficult, they have struggled to have enough food at times. Through other donations, they have purchased land to grow vegetables. Now, they are motivated to start having livestock. Starting with rabbits, they have a plan. The older orphan boys will help feed and care for the livestock along with local helpers. They will harvest grass for the rabbits along with purchased feed. They have located a rabbit breeder with good stock. They will have appropriate cages built that are good for rabbits and have promised to raise them humanely.
This project is important to the health and well-being of these beautiful children.
