On January 9, 2026, Paul Markoff, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend passed away. Paul’s life was taken in a tragic accident while on a backcountry ski trip with three others. The group was involved in an avalanche that claimed the lives of two men, including Paul. Paul is survived by his wife Jill and their two young children. Paul’s sudden passing has left Jill facing an unimaginable reality: navigating life without her partner who provided constant emotional support, stability, and hands-on care for the family. The weight of grief and the responsibilities of daily life are heavy.
This campaign will directly provide support for Jill and their children. The goal of this campaign is to raise money to ease the financial pressure of daily life so she can focus on grieving, healing, and caring for her family.
