On March 8th, 2026, my father and I will be attempting to ski 80k combined vertical feet in one day at Mt Ellen/Sugarbush as part of year 5 of Peaks with a Purpose.
This fundraising effort was started by our friends, Jason and Luke Trevisan, in order to combine their love of skiing and the pursuit of a big challenge while inspiring people to do good in the world. Last year our group raised over $50,000 and skied nearly 2mn vertical feet.
For the second time, our selected organization is Protect Our Winter which I describe here:
"Skiers and boarders have a special connection with our sport that is unlike any other. Whether it be floating through powder or, soaring across a groomer, the experience is truly incredible. With climate change dramatically affecting outdoor winter sports, we've decided to raise money for Protect Our Winters this year.
From the POW website: "Our mission is to depoliticize the climate discussion and bring together those from all backgrounds to advocate for the outdoor spaces we love most. The outdoor industry has the magnitude and economic influence to make change."

If you'd like to support us and this great cause, please donate any amount you can. All donations are tax-deductible. If donating through a Donor Advised Fund, you can do so directly through your provider using Protect Our Winters tax ID of 20-8474909 and please include Peaks with a Purpose in your note. Just as importantly, please pass this link along to your friends/family who enjoy skiing/boarding or have an interest in protecting the environment that makes our sport possible.
