In 2018 my husband became ill shortly after the birth of our 3rd son. His diagnosis left him disabled and unable to work in the profession and skill he had worked hard mastering over his entire adult life. He lost his identity in a way with the loss of his career. My husband found a new passion that he could pursue even in his disability. He customized lacrosse heads one of the fastest growing sports. He was growing his business and his vision when he went into the hospital for complications from his illness in May 2021 the weekend of his 41st birthday. We lost him July 3rd after he fought for 6 long weeks to be here for myself and our 3 young sons. He ignited something in me and inspired me to go after a dream I’ve had since I was 19. I’m opening a cafe that serves breakfast and brunch and I’m planning on starting with a food truck. My mission is to provide delicious foods and clean coffee to both the health conscious and the foodies. As a single working mother pouring money into this dream it’s difficult to gather enough funds to buy a truck or major equipment. That’s where I need help getting started to bring this vision to its complete fullness.
