Our names are Mark Kreynovich and Dillon Carroll. We have been best friends since meeting as first-year roommates at Cornell University. A week after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, we dropped everything and flew to eastern Europe to help those most afflicted by this catastrophic war.

Mark is from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Mark's family is currently in Kharkiv.

With your contribution and willingness to share our message, our grassroots team continues to provide immediate humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees, internally displaced persons, and civilians under siege. We partner with trusted, verified contacts throughout Ukraine, including family friends, business owners, medical professionals, and volunteers to reach Ukraine's hottest regions.

So far, we have:

  • Procured and delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of critical equipment (ambulances, mobile medical units, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, suturing equipment, foodstuffs, personal hygiene items, etc.)
  • Evacuated over a thousand civilians from Russian-occupied territories in southern Ukraine and delivered food & medication to 3,000+ people
  • Coordinated the transportation of refugees from Ukraine's borders to processing checkpoints and voluntary hosts throughout the EU, helping with: translation, refugee documentation, temporary housing, everyday needs, and more for dozens of refugee families
  • Social Media: Instagram | Facebook

We hope our efforts will galvanize badly needed support to meet the tremendous demand for humanitarian aid and equipment in Ukraine. Donations are used for direct expenses to procure and deliver humanitarian aid.

Our objectives are below:

1. Our direct, on-the-ground aid operation deploys funds raised quickly and gets materials into the hands of those that need them on short timelines

2. Provide a platform and voice to refugees who don't have the opportunity, given the language barrier, to express their experiences in the emotional depth and complexity that they deserve

3. Go beyond providing immediate, on-demand aid and to provide longer-term stability: temporary housing, employment opportunities, language services, etc.

Thank you very much for your consideration, and we hope we can count on your continued support.

Gratefully,

Mark Kreynovich & Dillon Carroll

Two years ago today, our mission began.

A mission to help Ukrainians in desperate need.

We weren't planning to help for two years, let alone two weeks.

The original plan was to spend one week helping on the border. We hoped to raise a few thousand dollars to buy humanitarian supplies.

But we underestimated something… YOU!

Each one of you. From day one, your support for our mission was astounding.

The messages in the comments of your donations were inspiring.

Many of you wished you were there with us on the ground and that you were proud, at least that you knew someone who was.

You all contributed more than $50,000 during our first week on the ground.

We realized this work in Ukraine wasn't mine or Mark's but yours from the start.

You placed your faith and generosity in the two of us. Our responsibility was to make a real change with it.

Two years later, we are proud to say that we have. In no small part because of you.

Together, we've saved thousands of lives.

Our mobile medical unit continues to serve hundreds of wounded every week near the front lines.

Our deliveries to Kherson this summer provided over 3,000 people with essential food and hygiene supplies.

Over 30 families in Kharkiv have warm homes to sleep in because of the repairs we've made.

Our youth activity center educates more than 60 children per day and is now the cornerstone of its community.

Youth Activity Center, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. February 29, 2024.

Your love and contributions these last two years made it possible. But our work can only keep helping for another two years with your help.

So today, we ask you to contribute once more.

Whether you donated in our first week or last month, we need each of you to propel our shared cause.

Thank you for helping. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for joining us.

There's still a lot to do, and we are confident that together, we will continue to be of help to the Ukrainian people.

We look forward to continuing this mission with each of you.

Until next time. Slava Ukraini.

Hello friends,

Today marks a somber milestone – two years since the invasion of Ukraine began.

Writing to you from Kyiv, we find ourselves reflecting on the past two years and our humanitarian journey with a mix of heavy hearts and unwavering resolve. Standing on Ukrainian soil, witnessing both the scars of conflict and the indomitable spirit of its people, we are reminded daily of why we embarked on this mission.

We are grateful to have each of you, our incredible community of supporters, whose contributions have singlehandedly saved thousands of lives and empowered dozens of Ukrainian communities. Your support has turned our shared vision into a beacon of hope and a lifeline for many facing the brunt of this awful conflict.

The resilience of Ukraine in the face of this prolonged conflict is nothing short of heroic. As we enter another year of uncertainty, the challenges ahead are real. With elections looming in various democracies worldwide, the geopolitical landscape could shift, potentially impacting the level of international support for Ukraine. Now, more than ever, Ukraine needs people like you, ordinary citizens worldwide, to remember the stakes – not just for its sovereignty but for the defense of democratic principles globally. With the immediate and enduring needs of displaced families, medical shortages, and community rebuilding efforts more pressing than ever, our united efforts are indispensable.

Today, we urge you to donate and support the Ukrainian communities that rely on your support.

Beyond financial contributions, we encourage you to advocate for Ukraine in your communities by sharing Ukrainian stories and the realities of this conflict with your networks.

This two-year mark reinforces our commitment to Ukraine's future. It's a future we passionately believe in, made brighter with your support. Let's renew our dedication to standing with Ukraine, embodying the resilience we admire in its people.

Thank you for your encouragement, love, continued solidarity, and for believing in our mission. Together, we are a force for change, hope, and enduring support for Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!

With heartfelt thanks,

Dillon & Mark

Happy Giving Tuesday everyone,

Today is the largest day of giving in the world, and after coming back from Kharkiv yesterday humbled by the gratitude of those we have helped and energized to do even more, we hope that each of you will consider helping us with our end-of-year projects to support and protect Ukrainian children during the winter.

In the coming weeks, our project capability rests almost entirely on your support. We invite you to watch the following video to understand the impact that each of you has made in Ukraine and to inspire our community to bring warmth, support, and relief to the children and their families who need it most.

If each of you, our 1,300+ supporters on Spotfund contributes at least $100, we can complete these critical humanitarian projects as winter sets in:

  • $40,000 to fund critical reconstruction and expansion needs of the youth activity center
  • $50,000 to rebuild Tanya’s entire home in the village of Tsurkuny, less than 20 miles from the Russian border; this family’s health, housing, and safety rests on our shoulders
  • $40,000 to complete the aquatic rehabilitation center at Ukraine’s largest and most advanced children’s hospital, Ohmatdyt, providing vital support to children recovering from amputations and learning to live with prosthetics (practicing to walk again in a pool makes this learning process much less painful)

As an added bonus, every person who donates at least $100 can choose to receive an exclusive piece of M4U merch! We will reach out to you after your donation, and if you’d like to see more, please use the following link to go to our website. All of the merchandise has been generously donated by a Krakow partner so that we can maximize our donations raised.

The M4U community has shown Ukrainians the power of compassion and collective action. Thanks to your unwavering support, thousands of people today are alive and thriving amidst the war. Your contributions have brought hope, aid, and resilience to communities that need it most.

As winter approaches, we are counting on you to help us reach our goal and ensure that no one is left behind. Let’s come together and show the world the strength of our community. Together, we will get through this, and together, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

With heartfelt gratitude and unwavering hope,

Dillon & Mark

Hello from Ukraine!

We hope each of you has had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Mark and I reflected on all the incredible work you’ve made possible this year, and we are immensely grateful for everything you do to keep Mission For Ukraine fulfilling its mission every day, helping Ukrainians most in need.

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, an internationally recognized day of giving that encourages people to support humanitarian causes. It is also one of our biggest fundraising days!

While we launch our end-of-year campaign tomorrow, we need your support to help us complete critical year-end projects for Ukrainian kids before winter fully sets in.

Can you help us kickstart our campaign tomorrow by donating to Spotfund?

If every supporter on Spotfund donated $100 tomorrow, we would raise over $100,000 and be able to provide for hundreds of children in Kyiv and Kharkiv. Including continuing to provide for those we saw this week at the Youth Activity Center, which each of YOU helped build in the village of Tsyrkuny, outside of Kharkiv. The resilience of these kids is inspiring, and you can directly support them throughout the rest of the year by donating to M4U. (Photos)

The folks we help here, frankly, rely on our community, on each of you, and we are grateful for your worldwide support. Let’s continue to make a difference in saving lives and empowering communities throughout Ukraine. See you tomorrow for Giving Tuesday!

Best,

Mark & Dillon
