Hello everyone. I am reluctantly and with a feeling of shame asking for help, but my 2 daughters and I are desperate and have nowhere else to turn. Trust me, I've searched and asked. I am a single mom of 2 girls ages, 14 & 3 and both have special needs with No help or support system.
The system has failed us grossly in this department. The school system is not only NOT supportive of my 14-year Olds special needs, but also not beneficial for her to remain in their system. Her case is a delicate one that has involved multiple hospitalizations (documented) and as a one parent household, its proven to be challenging to handle alone. I've made every effort to get her and her sister all of the help they need.
I have no family in NY state and have decided it's no longer viable to remain here alone and within our best interest to relocate where the girls and I will have a family support system.
I've given this great thought, and this is my reason for asking for help with expenses for relocating. Our financial situation is very stressed, leaving us impoverished at this time. Christmas will also be a struggle, but I'd prefer to focus on moving near family. I do have a sense of pride and regret even having to reach out for help, but I have no choice but to swallow that pride when it comes to doing what's best for my children and in getting proper help with their special needs. We would appreciate anything donated to our cause, because it all will help my girls and I to move towards a better life.
