As if it hasn't been hard enough to stay in Business!! The first Mermaid's Kitchen was flattened by Harvey, then I spent 18 months doing the whole Relief camp thing and catering out of the borrowed food truck. I finally got a new building and have poured every extra penny into updates and repairs, finally got it ready so we could open up as a small intimate white tablecloths dinner place and it was GREAT!! FOR THE 8 NIGHTS WE WERE ABLE TO BE OPEN BEFORE THE COVID SHUTDOWN!  So we adapted, sold hot lunches, toilet paper, paper towels, eggs, ground beef, and milk through the drive through and even delivered to our customers that were afraid to get out. Covid hit us really hard, cutting out 95% of the catering business, but we held on, then came Covid relief and the end of the workforce, hard to run a business with no staff, but we struggled through to get to hunting season ,which usually gets us through the slower months, and though drastically reduced from pre-covid it got us through with just enough money in the account to cover one and a half months of overhead. That is until an employee of my tax lady got ahold of the account info and emptied the account from Alabama. I contacted the police, but they were no help. If this crowd funding doesn't work, we are done. I have no way to cover the overhead and the electric and water companies don't care!! Every little bit will help. Thanks in advance.
