I never imagined in a million years that I would be writing this message.   I have always disliked asking for help.  I much prefer being the one who helps others.

When I have to deal with problems, I keep them to myself until things get better but this is something really big and I have reached a point where I have no other choice than asking for help.

3 years ago now, I was diagnosed with kidney failure.  I had to start dialysis immediately. It has been very difficult and quite a life adjustment as I have to do it at least four days per week/4 hours at the time.

I have had to deal with hospitalization, and countless doctor’s appointments.  I have tried to keep my life as normal as possible and not think about it constantly but it is not easy.  I think the worst thing I had to deal with is the appetite loss due to the anemia caused by the kidney failure and a huge loss of freedom because of the constant dialysis sessions.

Anyway… I am at the point where I can get a kidney transplant. In Vegas, it s about 3 years wait and I am just there. I have had insurance since the start of all this but in April, my insurance will pay for only 20% of all the cost including all the meds. Aside from that, I have accumulated tons of medical fees due to hospital visits and medical appointments as the insurance doesn’t cover everything and the stress of it all is getting unbearable.  Also when I do get the transplant, my part of the surgery will be 20k plus a lifetime of anti rejection meds for the new kidney. After the surgery, I will not be able to work or leave the house for at least a month, so… no money coming in at all.

I have sold my nice car, motorcycle and other random stuff to help pay for  my expenses but now, the much older car I got is having major engine issues and I am being told by the mechanic might now last much longer. Ugh!  Everything seems to be falling apart around me.   Luckily, my son agreed to let me borrow his car so I could still function.

So here I am, asking my friends and the people I hope I have touched in a positive way throughout my life to help me get through this difficult part of my life.  All I want is to get this transplant and be able to have a normal life.  Being able to eat normally, train, work, go on vacation with my girl and enjoy life again without stressing all the time.

If you met me at some point and I left a good impression, please consider helping if you can. I know times are tough but anything will help me and I would greatly appreciate it.  If you cannot, maybe share my story.

I have never talked about this publicly until today, mostly because I don’t like when people are feeling bad for me, I prefer to be a source of positive energy for people. A few friends I did confide into and I want to say thank you to, my bestie Jay Cutler (who visited in the hospital every-time I was there) my coach and trainer Eric “Merlin “ Broser, my good friend Flex Lewis at Dragon’s Lair, Dr Rand who helped a ton since the start of this nightmare and finally, my girl Jenny Worth for her support and taking me into her life even though i am dealing with this condition.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this all the way and your help in advance.
