I never imagined I would be in a position where I would have to publicly ask for help with legal expenses. Asking for financial help is not easy for me, but I am currently facing multiple legal battles that have affected nearly every part of my life.
The serious allegations and litigation concerning things I maintain I did not do.
Because these cases are ongoing, I cannot publicly discuss every detail or piece of evidence. What I can say is that I strongly dispute the allegations against me, and I want the opportunity to defend myself properly through the legal system.
Over the past year, I have watched legal problems affect my family, my finances, my reputation, and my future. I have learned that defending yourself can become incredibly expensive, regardless of how strongly you believe in your innocence. Attorney fees, court expenses, evaluations, filings, and the other costs associated with multiple legal proceedings add up quickly.
At the same time, one of the most painful parts of this journey has been the effect on my relationship with my daughter. I have continued participating in the process and completing what has been required of me because having a relationship with my daughter means everything to me. After being separated for a significant amount of time, recently being able to spend time with her again reminded me why I cannot give up.
But this fundraiser is about more than one case.
I am raising money to help pay the legal expenses necessary to defend myself in the litigation I am facing, protect my rights, address the allegations against me, and continue fighting for my relationship with my daughter.
I am not asking anyone who reads this to decide my cases or take my word over someone else's. That is what the legal process is for. I am asking for the opportunity to have proper legal representation, present my evidence, challenge allegations I believe are untrue, and have the facts heard fairly.
I want to be able to look back on this period of my life knowing that I did everything possible to stand up for myself, protect my family, and clear my name.
