Hi, my name is Miranda and I am from the United States. I am raising funds for my friend Hassan in Gaza, his wife and his newborn daughter Ghada. The money is desperately needed to survive the current blockade and to evacuate once possible. Hassan is the sole earner for a family of seven, constituting himself, his wife, Ghada, his elderly parents and his two brothers. He has a disability in his foot with short tendons which makes him unable to work and to collect food at the already dangerous American "humanitarian" sites. I've included his medical documentation here:
Hassan is dealing with the impossible task of supporting a large family among man-made famine, constant bombing and displacement. Please give generously and share wherever you can.
Please read Hassan's story in his own words:
My name is Hassan, I am 30 years old from Gaza. I hold a degree in Information Technology, and I had dreams and ambitions for a better future. However, the ongoing war has destroyed everything I once worked so hard to build.
Before the war, my wife and I lived in peace. But since its outbreak, we have been under constant threat due to relentless bombing and widespread destruction. I lost my job, which was our only source of income. I owned a small supermarket, but it was completely destroyed when the rented house we lived in was bombed. With that, I lost my business, my livelihood, and years of effort and dedication.
In the first month of the war, we welcomed our daughter, Ghada, into the world. Unfortunately, she was born into a war zone, without the most basic necessities of life. We have no access to food, clean water, or baby formula, as the border crossings are closed.
We are now homeless, moving from place to place in search of safety. The situation is unbearable and dangerous, especially for a newborn child.
I am writing to you with a desperate plea for help. Please assist us in finding a way to leave Gaza and seek safety. My only wish is to protect my family.
